Chairman & CEO
Jamie has over 20 year’s experience specializing in institutional multifamily property sales and is the founding member, Chairman and CEO of JBM®. Jamie oversees the operations, origination, capital markets, marketing and disposition of all institutional grade brokerage assignments, as well as all capitalization activities of the firm.
Prior to JBM®, Jamie was an Executive Director of Institutional Property Advisors as well as the Chairman and CEO of JBM® Realty Advisors. His experience draws upon three generations of the May family development, brokerage and insurance business dating back to 1939 in addition to his own prior experience in the investment advisory, brokerage, construction, development, acquisition, disposition, capital markets and management of institutional grade apartment communities.
Jamie currently serves on the Board of Directors of the National Multifamily Housing Council (NMHC), a Silver Flight multifamily council member of the national Urban Land Institute (ULI),founding member of the Multi-family Development Council of ULI Florida, is an active member of the the Real Estate Investment Council (REIC) and belongs to the National Apartment Association and the Florida Apartment Association.
Jamie is a graduate of Boston University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Real Estate. Additionally, he is a licensed real estate broker in Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee and New Mexico. His interests include spending time with family and friends, Ferrari road course racing, fitness training, swimming, boating, shooting, favorite holiday destinations include Aspen and Nantucket.
President & Co-Founder
Eddie Yang is President and Co-Founder of JBM®. His direct responsibilities include client advisory, business development, property analysis & financial underwriting, market surveillance, marketing and disposition execution of institutional grade market rate, tax credit and tax exempt bond financed properties.
Prior to joining the JBM® team, Eddie was with CBRE – Florida Multihousing Group and specialized in valuation and disposition of institutional multi-housing properties, fractured and stalled garden and mid/high rise condominium properties, and loan sales of over 7,000 units with an aggregate value of over $635 million. In addition, he was a member of the Debt and Equity Finance Group where he underwrote properties for debt financing according to Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae standards.
Before entering the brokerage and advisory industry, Eddie was involved in acquisitions and development of various asset types including multifamily. He also previously worked at JP Morgan in New York as an investment banking analyst and advisor.
Eddie is an advisory member of the National Multi-Housing Council (NMHC), Urban Land Institute, and the Real Estate Investment Council. He received his Bachelor of Business Administration with concentrations in Accounting and Finance from Goizueta Business School at Emory University and is a Licensed Real Estate Salesperson in the state of Florida. His interests include public speaking, tennis, golf, white water rafting, rock climbing, tarpon fishing, snow biking and snowboarding off-marker.
Executive Vice President
Jonathan Barclay is the Executive Vice President for JBM®. He is responsible for the team’s valuation and strategic financial underwriting and modeling; marketing, creation, production and distribution of property offering memoranda; photography; market research; and the quarterly distribution of the BrokerEdge newsletter. Mr. Barclay also serves as a liaison within the brokerage team, and with prospective purchasers and sellers by conducting property orientations, registration, onsite tours, and coordination of due diligence throughout the listing, marketing and closing of each transaction.
Prior to joining the JBM® Group, Mr. Barclay was an analyst with Jones Lang LaSalle’s – Florida Capital Markets Group in Orlando; where he was responsible for research, marketing, economic and demographic analysis as well as the creation and distribution of offering memoranda for institutional, private national and regional clientele.
Mr. Barclay has worked in the commercial real estate industry for multiple years and has experience in the marketing and sale of office and retail properties in addition to multifamily. During his career, he has assisted in the disposition and financing of more than $1.6 billion in commercial real estate assets.
Mr. Barclay earned his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees from Florida State University and is a Licensed Real Estate Salesperson in the state of Florida. His interests include public speaking, politics, FSU sports and fishing.
Chad Walthall is a Vice President for JBM®. He assists with the team’s valuation and strategic financial underwriting and modeling, broker opinion of values, multifamily pipelines, market research, writing of offering memoranda and conducts transaction and due diligence coordination for the investment sales team throughout the listing, marketing and closing of each transaction.
Prior to joining the JBM team, Mr. Walthall was an analyst with CREModels in St. Petersburg, FL where he was responsible for the underwriting and modeling across all investment sectors with a total aggregate value of over $20 Billion domestically and internationally.
Mr. Walthall earned his Bachelor of Science in Personal Financial Management Services with an emphasis on Real Estate Finance and Investment from the University of Missouri. His interests include golfing, boating, defining his competitive negotiating skills and just simply spending time with family and friends.
Jordan Kidder is a Vice President for JBM. He assists with the team’s valuation and strategic financial underwriting and modeling, broker opinion of values, multifamily pipelines, market research, writing of offering memoranda and conducts transaction and due diligence coordination for the investment sales team throughout the listing, marketing and closing of each transaction.
Prior to joining the JBM team, Mr. Kidder was a Project Manager and Analyst with CREModels, working across all asset types, performing due diligence, client management, modeling, and underwriting services to a broad clientele throughout the capital stack, both foreign and domestic.
Mr. Kidder earned his Bachelor of Science in Economics with a minor in Real Estate from the University of Florida’s Heavener School of Business – a top 15 program amongst public universities nationwide. Mr. Kidder worked his way through school and spent five years employed for his university’s athletic department, including four with the football team, attending every game and practice as well as traveling across the Southeast. Naturally, he is an avid sports fan and a fierce competitor. He enjoys traveling, movies, and playing 18 on the golf course.
Hope Stephens is a Financial Analyst for JBM®. She assists with the team’s financial underwriting and modeling, broker opinion of values, multifamily construction pipelines, market research, and writing of offering memoranda for the investment sales team throughout the listing, marketing, and closing of each transaction.
While completing her undergraduate studies, Hope served as the VP of membership for the FSU Real Estate Society, was a member of the American Marketing Association, and performed in the FSU Flying High Circus. She also acquired internships with Peachtree Hotel Group and HREC Investment Advisors where her duties included modeling and underwriting services for the investments team.
Ms. Stephens earned her Bachelor of Science from Florida State University where she double majored in Real Estate and Marketing. She recently graduated from the University of Florida where she earned her Master of Science in Real Estate (MSRE). This program is ranked #1 by Eduniversal Best Master’s Ranking 2021. She was a student assistant at the Kelley A. Bergstrom Center during her time at UF where she aided the staff with event logistics and maintaining relationships with the alumni and advisory board members. Her interests include being an avid sports watcher, wake surfing, hunting, fishing, advancing her skills in the industry, and spending time with her friends and family.
